Alvecote Historic Boat Gathering - Day 2 - Sunday

(Boat Sickle - posted by Alan)

Time doesn't really permit a full write up of the event, or at least not yet.

For the time being, here is a collection of pictures from the second day.

"Nutfield" towing "Python" to Grendon dock.
The "Pythoneers" (Dave and Jan) look surprisingly cheerful in the circumstances.
"Oberon" is not actially old at all - it is a very good modern replica.
David Lowe on his boat "Swallow"
"France" a recent restoration.

"Bream" (the back half) follows "Sickle"

Young Lewys was more in control than some of the grown ups!

"France" again - "Sickle's" former skipper Ian photographs us.

"Birmingham" was one of my absolute favourite boats in the 1970s.

Misjudged return into marina basin.

"Lamprey"

"Emu"
Misjudge attempt at "winding" a loaded boat.

"Auriga"

Derek on "Birmingham" had the hang of turning her well.
